Bout to Bubble

As March Madness approaches closer and closer the real mad scramble begins now. As teams who have had better than average seasons try to state there case on why they deserve a spot in NCAA basketball tournament. Teams such as Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Villanova, Ohio State and others must get more quality wins to impress the voters who choose the field of 64 for the NCAA tournament. This can be done in the conference tournaments which begin this week. Also, if any one of these teams wins there conferences tournament it is an automatic bid to the tournament.

Fair Well Favre

A week not many football fans ever wanted to became a reality this past week. On thursday March 6, 2008 Brett Favre retired from football. After 17 years in the NFL Favre hung up his cleats. Favre played the game like it was suppose to be played. The only guy who can say he won 3 MVP's as a Packer is the same one who threw a snow ball at a ref after scoring a touchdown. Favre had also broken many records in his long career. He broke Dan Marino's touchdown record, and longest active streak starting at Quarterback. Brett Favre was a football hero and will be missed greatly by all except the teams that ever had to face him.

Free Agent Market: Now Open

As the Superbowl ends, the combine is done, it is now the beginning of the NFL free agency. A time where teams look to fill the holes on there team before the draft. Its been a busy market as most of the free agents are beginning to sign and get ready for the upcoming season with there new teams. Yet there are still many big name free agents such as Javon Walker, Randy Moss, Daunte Culpepper, and Julio Jones. There has been talk that Moss won't resign with the Patriots and test the market. If so he could get paid very, very well with the season he had last year. The Cowboys, Bears, and Raiders need a wide reciever so those could be places Moss or Walker could wind up.
